Ten years ago I took the plunge to become a full-time photographer after a varied career in book publishing and event management - it was as if everything suddenly clicked into place. I have since won awards, exhibited, sold prints, published and found myself!  My passion is capturing emotion, that fleeting moment, the glint in the eye ... total satisfaction, and many new friends.

 

My photography work is varied and takes me all over Europe - portraits, corporate, weddings, events, headshots, lifestyle, children - everything to do with people.  I also  find myself roaming the countryside for landscape and nature shots employing various techniques such as ICM, double exposures, textures to create something beyond a photograph.  All of it is fascinating to me and enriches the way I look through the lens.

 

Originally Dutch, I have lived in west London for most of my life and have a degree in languages and literature.  I live with my daughter who is a also in the creative world. The variety of my job is very appealing to me - from Aston Martin racing cars to hurtling across Italian lakes on speedboats. I have photographed a book on London, magazine cover shots, taught classes, shot Master Chef cookery lessons, designed school yearbooks and am currently also working on the Children of London book with proceeds going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital  - in my world everything is possible and all challenges are welcome!
