My passion is people, to capture emotion and create evocative images be it studio portraits or candid event shots. Having worked as an event manager for several years I believe I have a unique insight into what makes an event special, discreetly capturing the mood on camera, and establishing a good rapport with the client and their guests.
Originally Dutch, I am a London University language graduate with a career background in photography, publishing, music and events management. Photography has always been a passion and I recall vividly the heady days of processing film in the bathtub and hiring dodgy dark rooms. The birth of my daughter stopped me in my tracks but I soon ran back to photography whilst still maintaining contact with the music and events world, keen to capture those vibrant colours and emotions. I decided to became a full-time professional photographer and I haven't looked back once! Not for a second.
The variety of my job is very appealing to me - from portraits to racing across Italian lakes on speedboats, I have photographed a book on London, shot Master Chef cookery lessons, designed school yearbooks and currently working on the Children of London book with Richard Bradbury - in my world everything is possible and all challenges are welcome!
My images have featured in Country Life, Daily Mail, Hello Magazine (Indian version!), Absolutely Magazine, Telegraph, Darling Magazine and numerous other publications.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and fees, or arrange a meeting. I aim to make every photographic experience a relaxed and pleasant journey.
"We’ve used Anna for photography on a number of different events and her photography is always wonderful. Anna understands exactly what we need and captures the most brilliant images. Anna is a calming, efficient and hard working presence on each job.”
"The photographs were exceptional - truly some of the best that I have seen of a social occasion. You not only caught all the key moments and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, but you totally captured the atmosphere ... I would highly recommend you to any friends or colleagues. Thank you."

I look forward to hearing from you.
